All in a New York minute – Last Monday, July 28 my day trip to NYC just wasn’t enough time to see all the exquisite designs and jewelers for New York Jewelry Week. I attended JCK’s Luxury Privé for the first time. Luxury Privé showcases manufacturers, designers and distributors of various kinds of fine jewelry, precious stones. The show was held at the luxurious Waldorf Astoria Hotel, the perfect back drop for show. I came as press/media to see how much the industry has involved and see new designs and designers! The show was held in the four-storey grand ballroom, it’s the only two-tiered ballroom in the City! The Press/Bloggers Preview was held upstairs and beautifully curated by Communiqué -LA (a boutique marketing firm specializing in fine jewelry and timepieces). This gave us, the press/bloggers a more intimate private feel that allowed us to have some one-on-one time with each piece. I was able to touch, try-on, and take photos! The space showcased 45 designers and each collection was displayed on natural wood slabs. Below are my personal snap shots from the show. Thank You JCK and Reed Exhibitions for having me! |
